COMRADES and AUXILIARY

We had a great Winter Convention at Post 1685. The VFW Comrades from around the state came together and had a great time. Discussing ways of how to make our POST HOME better for everyone.

 

The VFW POST 9785 will be hosting the 2023 VFW Convention May 11 - 14, 2023 at our POST HOME. If anyone would like to help out please contact Mel Quesenberry at the email above.

Monday

Tuesday- TACO TUESDAYS starting at 5p until Gone!!!!

Wednesday - Whiskey Wednesday: stop by for some good Bourbon / Whiskey

Thursday - Thirsty Thursday; Stop by for a cold frosty beverage.

Friday -  Flannel Friday throughout the Winter. Stop by if you are in town and say hello to your favorite bartenders. Steak Night from 1800 to 2000 hours, Pre-Order is available, ask the bartender. (Deaton Crew).

Saturday - Stop by for NFL Football Saturday (Division Playoffs) Jacksonville at Kansas City at 1230; NY Giants at Philly 1630.  

Sunday - NFL, World Cup Soccer and NASCAR, College Basketball;  Breakfast served from 1000 - 1230 (Deaton Crew). (Divisional Playoffs) Cincy vs Buffalo (REMATCH) 1100; Dallas at San Fran 1430.

This week the VFW will be having their Mid Winter Convention at Post 1685. The Commander and Sr. Vice Commander will be downtown Friday and Saturday.

NFL Football - Saturday and Sunday Playoffs start this weekend with 3 games on Saturday and 3 games on Sunday

NHL Hockey - We have the NHL Package some stop by and watch some NHL Hockey

The VFW works hand in hand with Sports Clips for HERO scholarships (E5s and Below)  SPORTS CLIPS is located in Wasilla and on Diamond Blvd.

CHAIRMAN for 2022/23 season

Maintenance Chairman - Kenny Ray is the Maintenance Chairman for the next year. If you see something or something needs repaired please contact Kenny Ray. 

Kitchen Chairman - Bob Mardis our Facility Sanitation Manager and Kitchen Chairman. If you want to use the kitchen, or see something in the Kitchen needs looked after please get with Bob. He is at the V on Mon, Wed, Friday Night and Sunday Afternoon.
